Red wool bag embroidered with flowers. Handcrafted by women in Ayacucho, central Peru.

The florid fields of Tarma inspire the mesmerizing design of this shoulder bag. It is stylized after the mail bags used by Inca chasquis (messengers). Other than post, they would also carry coca leaves to chew on their voyages. This wool bag is woven on a pedal loom and embroidered by hand in legendary Ayacucho style. Fully lined, it has two practical pockets.
